Commercial Corridors Institute Inc
The primary mission of CCI
is to develop and improve low-moderate income communities and neighborhoods through business and economic related education. The CCI will facilitate training and workshops focused on all aspects of nonprofit development. Through research and advocacy, CCI will function as a nonprofit and master community economic developer and packager of activities that will increase the capacity of Business Improvement District Managers and Commercial Corridor Leaders. In return by building the organization’s capacity through creating a nonprofit, the outcome would help small businesses create jobs designed to reduce poverty, unemployment and curb blight in emerging markets

Program Services
Community Economic Development
CCI will carry out educational activities within a target area to develop and improve domestic urban emerging markets, communities and neighborhoods, and commercial corridors.
Workforce Training & Development
CCI will identify key stakeholders and work cooperatively to devise a plan for using community assets to solve workforce-related problems and to strengthen community capacity.
Small Business Development
CCI will seek to support technical assistance efforts of strategic partners to small businesses located in domestic urban emerging markets, communities and neighborhoods, and commercial corridors.
Encouraging Entrepreneurship
CCI will work with strategic partners to focus on opportunities that lead to long term sustainability and wealth building through new business creation. CCI will advocate for funding and the promotion of entrepreneurship at local, state, and national levels.

BIDs Capacity Building through Nonprofit development to WEDC
Commercial Corridors Institute, Inc. (CCI) will utilize market based best practices to positively impact the economic, environmental, and social dimensions of targeted economic development areas, initially in the Southeastern Wisconsin region but eventually throughout the United States.
Blight to Bright
Blight to Bright is a set of strategies, in collaboration with the C4 group, to fill vacancies in commercial corridors. This includes focused trainings, workshops and design concepts with commercial corridor and BID managers, executive directors and board members. Additionally Blight to Bright© hosts an annual min-conference to gather leaders and interested groups with a common goal to discuss issues, ideas and strategies that increases commercial corridor development.
